My Inspiration

When I was a little girl, I once snuck a piece of chocolate and hid in my mom's closet to eat it. I crouched next to her boldly designed, day-glo dress. Today that memory is as much about the chocolate as it is about the dress. I distinctly remember my mom wearing that dress and so many other cute cotton shifts like it. She wore those dresses all day long–to the park or school, while making meals or doing housework. Like most girls and boys, I thought my mom was beautiful no matter what she was doing.

There’s not a lot of everyday clothing that can make a lasting impression. My intent is to merge artful textiles with flattering cuts creating dresses that women will fall in love with. I want the pieces to be both modern and nostalgic in hopes of creating a fond memory for someone else.
